Randolph woman charged with DUI, other offenses after wrong-way driving incident

RANDOLPH — A Barre Town woman was charged with driving under the influence and additional violations following a report of a wrong-way driver on Interstate 89, Vermont State Police said Tuesday.

Ericka A. Clark, 51, was arrested Monday night after state troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to calls about a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction near in Randolph.

Troopers intercepted Clark’s vehicle after it had corrected its course and was proceeding northbound near Mile Marker 37.0 N in Northfield.

Upon initiating a traffic stop, troopers observed signs of impairment in Clark’s behavior.

Further investigation confirmed that Clark was operating her vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.

She was taken into custody and transported to the Hartford Police Department for processing.

Clark faces charges of DUI, gross negligent operation, providing false information to a police officer, and reckless endangerment.

After processing, she was released with a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Aug. 21 at 8:30 a.m.
