BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department arrested a suspect late Sunday night following a stabbing incident in the downtown area.

At about 10:24 p.m., on Sunday, officers assigned to District A-1 responded to a call at 1 Harrison Avenue, where a patron needed to be removed from a restaurant.

Upon arrival, they were informed that an adult male had been stabbed and immediately called for Boston Emergency Medical Services.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

According to authorities, the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Alicia Morasse of Cambridge, had been causing a disturbance inside the restaurant before being asked to leave.

An altercation ensued during which Morasse allegedly stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.

Police reviewed surveillance footage from the restaurant and distributed an image of Morasse to all responding units.

She was located by officers near Stuart Street and Church Street, carrying a knife in her backpack.

Morasse was arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, vandalizing property, and the threat to commit a crime.

She is set to be arraigned at Boston Municipal Court.
