Montville police seek footage following early morning accident

MONTVILLE — Montville Police Department is calling for public assistance in gathering home security footage after a motor vehicle accident on March 8.

The incident, which took place around 2 a.m. on Chapel Hill Road, prompted an investigation that now seeks to include potential video evidence from the surrounding areas.

Residents living near Chapel Hill Road, Utz Drive, Oak Hill, Laurel, and Glenndale are being asked to check their security cameras for any footage captured between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on the day of the accident.

The police are particularly interested in identifying an individual who may have been seen walking away from the accident scene.

Officer Witts and Sgt. Shepard are spearheading the inquiry and urge anyone with relevant information or video to come forward.
