CHELSEA — A Chelsea man was arrested Saturday evening for alleged domestic assault, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers responded to a call at a residence on VT RT 110 at 8:05 p.m. Upon arrival, they investigated the incident and determined that Ryan Hart, 40, had inflicted pain and injury on a domestic partner.
After initially fleeing the scene, Hart returned shortly thereafter and was apprehended by the authorities.
He was taken to the Royalton barracks for processing.
Following the arrest, Hart received court-ordered conditions of release.
He is scheduled to appear before the Orange County Superior Court Criminal Division on Aug. 5 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charges.
The identity of the victim has not been released by the Vermont State Police, following their policy on domestic violence incidents.
