Orleans man injured in motorcycle crash on Route 58

BROWNINGTON — A motorcycle crash late Thursday night resulted in injuries for a 27-year-old Orleans man, according to Vermont State Police.

At approximately 11:29 p.m., troopers say a Yamaha V-Star 1300 motorcycle, operated by Patrick Bailey, was traveling on Route 58 near Poirier Lane.

Shortly after, the motorcycle was discovered off the roadway at 44 Poirier Lane.

Bailey lost control of his vehicle, causing the motorcycle to veer off the road and become totaled.

He was transported to North Country Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police say further details will be provided as the investigation continues.
