BETHEL — Vermont State Police cited a Hardwick woman for cocaine possession after responding to a report of unconscious vehicle occupants in a parking lot.

Troopers from the Royalton barracks arrived at 375 Peavine Blvd. in Bethel at 10:05 a.m. Friday and identified the occupants as Heather B. Quinn, 40, of Hardwick and Gerin J. Fortin.

After establishing probable cause, troopers searched the vehicle with the owner’s consent and seized a substance consistent with crack cocaine, police said.

Quinn was issued a criminal citation at Gifford Medical Center and released.

She is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court on Sept. 25 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
