Missing Connecticut teen prompts silver alert

MONTVILLE — A silver alert has been issued for a 16-year-old girl who ran away from a group home in Uncasville, Connecticut, on Thursday.

Gabriella Christiansen was last seen leaving the facility at approximately 6 p.m. on Aug. 1, according to the Montville Police Department.

Authorities believe Christiansen may be in the greater Hartford area.

She is listed as a missing endangered juvenile.

Christiansen was born on Nov. 10, 2007.

No further details about her appearance were provided by police.

Officer Ryan Cassidy of the Montville Police Department is leading the investigation.

The silver alert system is used in Connecticut to disseminate information about missing persons, particularly seniors with cognitive impairments and other at-risk individuals.
