Providence man arrested on drug charges at DMV

SCITUATE — Rhode Island State Troopers on Wednesday arrested a Providence man wanted on multiple bench warrants for failing to appear in court on drug-related charges.

Manuel Medina-Arroyo, 46, of 7 Barrows Street, was taken into custody at 10:45 a.m. at the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles.

He faces charges for failure to appear for a pretrial conference regarding his original charge of manufacturing/possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I-II substance, initially brought by the Providence Police Department.

Medina-Arroyo was transported to State Police Headquarters for processing and was later handed over to the Providence Superior Court.
