BRISTOL — A local man faces charges following a domestic assault investigation by the Vermont State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
Mathew Marcelle, 34, of Bristol was issued a citation for domestic assault on Aug. 1 after an investigation into allegations that he caused bodily injury to a juvenile household member in July.
Details of the incident remain limited as the Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.
The investigation by state authorities began earlier in the month, leading to the citation against Marcelle.
Marcelle is scheduled to appear in court to respond to the charges.
State Police continue their investigation into the matter.
