DANVILLE — A two-vehicle collision occurred on US Rt 2 near VT Rt 15 on July 27 at 7:14 p.m., resulting in a DUI arrest, according to Vermont State Police.
Jacob Brown, 24, of Littleton, NH, was driving a 2002 Ram 1500 when he lost brakes and rear-ended a 2019 Ram 1500 operated by Sharon Britch, 51, of Hardwick.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and neither vehicle sustained significant damage.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
During the investigation, troopers determined that Britch was operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
She was taken into custody and transported to the state police barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.
Britch was released on a citation to appear at the Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Aug. 12 at 8:30 a.m.
The road conditions were dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the incident.
