Worcester police seek help finding hit-and-run driver after scooter crash

WORCESTER — A hit-and-run incident in the early hours of July 19 left a 26-year-old man seriously injured, and authorities are now appealing to the public for assistance in locating the driver responsible.

The Worcester Police Department reported that the collision occurred at approximately 3:10 a.m. on June Street, where the victim was traveling east on his electric scooter.

After being struck by a vehicle, the man was promptly transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle involved failed to stop and instead fled the scene.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect’s car, which is described as a blue four-door sedan equipped with fog lights and rims.

Investigators believe any damage from the collision would be evident on the front passenger side of the vehicle, potentially affecting the bumper, hood, or windshield.

The Worcester Police Department is actively investigating the incident and urges anyone with information to come forward.
