Man arrested on warrant after traffic stop in Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a New York man on an outstanding warrant Wednesday afternoon.

Vermont State Police troopers stopped a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Brandon Schrader of Ballston Spa, New York, on VT RTE 103 for a motor vehicle violation at 12:13 p.m.

During the stop, it was discovered that Schrader had an active warrant for his arrest.

Schrader was taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to Southern State Correctional Facility.

According to court orders, he was lodged on the arrest warrant with bail set at $100.

Schrader received a flash citation and is scheduled to appear in court the next business day at 12:30 p.m. to address the charges specified in the warrant.

The nature of the charges on the warrant has not been disclosed.
