PROVIDENCE — Two individuals were arrested on separate charges by the Rhode Island State Police following traffic stops in the city, according to officials.
At 3 p.m., Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks apprehended Lemy Hernandez, 44, of Cranston, Rhode Island, for multiple offenses including possession of a controlled substance and counterfeiting registration plates.
Hernandez was stopped on Ashburton Street where he was found to be in possession of under 10 grams of fentanyl.
Additionally, he provided false documentation and obstructed a police officer during the incident.
After processing at the barracks, he was arraigned and released pending a future court date.
In an unrelated incident, at 4:17 a.m., Troopers arrested Sadaryl A.
Parham, 29, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on Route 146.
Parham was charged with obstructing a police officer, driving after suspension of license for the fourth or subsequent offense, and on an affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic violence charges originating from the Pawtucket Police Department.
He was held overnight at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and awaited arraignment as a probation violator.
