Woonsocket man arrested for reckless driving, eluding police

WOONSOCKET — A Woonsocket man was apprehended on charges of reckless driving and eluding police after a high-speed chase, Rhode Island State Police reported Saturday.

At 9:21 p.m. on July 26, troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks arrested 31-year-old Raheem K.

Davis of 65 Boyden Street following an investigation and a pursuit that ended with the assistance of the Lincoln Police Department.

Davis faces charges for reckless driving/drag racing/eluding police—his second offense of this nature—as well as a first offense for a high-speed pursuit while attempting to elude a police officer.

Following his arrest, Davis was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks.

He was held overnight as a probation violator and was subsequently transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
