DANBURY — Danbury police are seeking public assistance in locating a suspicious vehicle that was reported yesterday around 4:30 p.m. on Route 4.

The vehicle, described as a late model black Toyota Tundra Crewmax with four doors, was spotted without a front plate and no visible inspection sticker.

It was equipped with a ladder rack and had ladders on the driver’s side.

Witnesses reported two white males with the vehicle.

According to the police, the vehicle drew attention after the occupants had an awkward interaction with a local business owner and were seen taking photos of the business as they left the premises.

The police department has emphasized that while there is no immediate reason to suspect wrongdoing, they would like to speak with the individuals to address the concerns of the business owner and maintain vigilance following a recent uptick in burglaries in the area.

Residents who have seen a vehicle matching this description or have any relevant information are encouraged to contact the Danbury Police Department.
