STRATFORD — The Stratford Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a male suspect involved in installing a card skimming device at a local Walmart.
The incident occurred at the self-checkout payment console on July 18.
Authorities say the skimming device was promptly discovered and removed, but they urge customers who used the self-checkout lanes on that date to review their card statements and activity for any discrepancies.
The suspect’s image has been circulated by the SPD in hopes that someone will recognize him and come forward with information.
Officer Jimenez, who is handling the case, asks that anyone who can identify the male or has knowledge about the incident to contact him via email at [email protected].
The Stratford Police Department assures that all tips received will be kept confidential as they work to resolve this case and safeguard the financial security of the affected individuals.
