PROVIDENCE — In a string of arrests on July 23, members of the Rhode Island ACI Investigations Unit charged six individuals with drug possession and another with domestic violence and violation of a no-contact order, according to authorities.
Kerri Foster, 39, of West Warwick, faced charges of conveying unauthorized articles to/from an institution and possession of a controlled substance Schedule I-V greater than 10 grams.
Antwane Williams-Bey, 33, of East Hartford, Connecticut; Jose Medina, 50, of Cranston; Ronny Sanford, 24, of Johnston; James Belanger, 28, of Pawtucket; and Antwan Saygbe, 33, of Providence, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance Schedule I-V less than 10 grams.
Saygbe faced an additional charge for domestic violence – violation of a no-contact order.
All individuals were arraigned in Third District Court and released to the custody of the Sheriff’s Department.
In a related operation, the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, along with the Providence Police Department, arrested Moises Ramirez, 27, of Providence, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a firearm.
Ramirez was apprehended without incident and turned over to the Providence Police Department.
