Brewer police seize fentanyl, cocaine in apartment search

BREWER — Early on the morning of July 22, the Brewer Police Department carried out a search warrant at an apartment located at 20 Chamberlain Street, where they discovered significant quantities of illegal drugs.

Upon entering the residence, officers encountered seven individuals.

One person was taken to the hospital for medical issues not connected to the police operation.

Rhonda Morin, a 48-year-old Brewer resident, was found in possession of illicit substances and was charged with Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs.

During the search, police seized approximately 26 grams of fentanyl and 23 grams of cocaine base, commonly known as crack.

These drugs were found in different locations within the apartment.

The Brewer Police Department has indicated that the investigation is ongoing and evidence collected at the scene is still being processed.

Additional charges, including Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs and Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs, are expected to be filed.
