Claremont city hall, district court briefly locked down amid police incident

CLAREMONT — Claremont Police officers responded to an incident involving an individual experiencing a severe mental health crisis in the police department lobby earlier this morning.

During the response, Claremont City Hall and Claremont District Court were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure.

Authorities managed to resolve the situation quickly, and the lockdown was lifted shortly thereafter.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and normal operations have resumed at the city hall and district court.
