BOSTON — Boston Police Department detectives recovered four firearms and arrested three suspects following the execution of a search warrant in the Roxbury neighborhood on Saturday evening.

The search, conducted at approximately 6:34 p.m. on July 13 in the area of 86 Adams Street, led to the seizure of a Springfield Armory XP5, a Ruger firearm, a Glock firearm, and another firearm, all loaded with ammunition.

The recovery was part of an ongoing investigation into an armed robbery that occurred two days prior.

On Thursday, July 11, at around 4:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business on 479 Blue Hill Avenue.

Three armed suspects had reportedly entered the business, robbed the individuals present, and then fled before police arrived.

Video surveillance and city cameras were used to identify two suspects and obtain a partial license plate of the getaway vehicle.

The trail led investigators to Adams Street and Lyon Street, where one of the victim’s stolen watches was tracked.

With the aid of officers from District C-11 (Dorchester), the suspected vehicle was located in a driveway at 86 Adams Street.

Further investigation indicated that the suspects were in an apartment at this location.

After establishing a perimeter and a Code 99, a standoff ensued.

Negotiation efforts resulted in the arrest of one suspect, followed by a second.

A third suspect, who refused to surrender, was apprehended after SWAT forcibly entered the apartment.

During the booking process, officers discovered two plastic bags of a brown rock substance and five bags of a hard rock substance, suspected to be drugs, on the suspects.

The three individuals arrested are set to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

James Mendes, 32, of Randolph, Eric Hines, 32, of Roslindale, and Hendrick Davis, 41, of Brockton, face various charges including larceny of a firearm, armed robbery, and carrying a firearm without a license.

Davis also faces additional drug-related charges.
