Alburgh man charged with domestic assault

ALBURGH — On the evening of July 14, the Vermont State Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on US Route 2 S.

Christian Holland, 33, of Alburgh, was arrested following an investigation into the incident.

Authorities determined that Holland had physically assaulted his ex-girlfriend in violation of a previously issued abuse prevention order.

Holland was taken into custody and processed at the Vermont State Police Barracks in St. Albans before being released with conditions pending his appearance in court.

He is scheduled to appear at the Grand Isle Superior Court on July 18 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges.

The Vermont State Police have not released any additional information regarding the victim, in accordance with policies to protect the identities of victims of domestic violence.
