Richford home burglary leaves 70-year-old without $800 chainsaw

RICHFORD — State Police are investigating a burglary that left a 70-year-old Richford resident without a valued chainsaw.

Authorities report that the incident occurred on McAllister Road and was brought to their attention around 10:30 a.m. on July 13.

The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between the evening of July 12 and the morning of July 13.

The stolen property, a Jonsered 670 chainsaw valued at approximately $800, belonged to homeowner Brian Barbour.

The perpetrators remain unidentified at this time.

Local law enforcement is seeking assistance from the community.

Anyone with information related to the burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen chainsaw is encouraged to contact the State Police in St. Albans.
