Worcester police seize large drug cache, arrest suspect

WORCESTER — Worcester police arrested a 33-year-old man and seized a substantial quantity of drugs during a raid on an Elliot Street residence Wednesday afternoon.

Patrick Butts was taken into custody at approximately 4:40 p.m. on July 10, 2024, as he exited the targeted property.

Vice Squad officers then executed a search warrant on the premises.

Inside the residence, authorities discovered what they believe to be cocaine, counterfeit Oxycodone pills, methamphetamine pills, powdered fentanyl, and marijuana.

Officers also found scales and packaging materials commonly associated with drug distribution.

Butts faces multiple charges, including:

– Trafficking in a Class A Substance 100-199 Grams (fentanyl and counterfeit oxycodone)
– Trafficking over 200 Grams in Cocaine
– Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 Grams (counterfeit Adderall pills, methamphetamine)
– Possession of a Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute
