Worcester man arrested for cocaine trafficking

WORCESTER — Worcester Police Department Vice Squad officers arrested a man on charges of cocaine trafficking after executing a search warrant for his vehicle and residence on July 9.

Tyjuan Berry, the target of the warrant, was taken into custody after police observed him entering a black Mercedes near Southwest Cutoff at about 4 p.m.

Following the vehicle to Lovell Street, officers conducted a stop and found a large amount of cocaine on Berry.

The search extended to Berry’s residence on Southwest Cutoff, where the Vice Squad discovered several additional bags of the drug and packaging materials.

Berry is charged with trafficking in a Class A substance, specifically 36-99 grams of cocaine.
