HOPE VALLEY — A Texas man was apprehended Tuesday afternoon on charges of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates following a traffic stop on Route 95 South.
Javier Francisco Moreno, 45, of Houston, was arrested at 2:27 p.m. after troopers initiated a motor vehicle stop in Richmond.
Moreno was taken to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing.
Following arraignment by the Justice of the Peace, he was released with a summons to appear in court at a later date.
In a separate incident on the same day, at approximately 4 p.m., Troopers arrested Robert A. Lussier, 47, of Exeter, Rhode Island on charges of larceny.
Details of Lussier’s arrest have not been released.
Both incidents highlight the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address crime in the area.
