PROVIDENCE — In a series of late-night arrests, Rhode Island State Troopers detained several individuals on charges ranging from possession of a stolen motor vehicle to driving under the influence.
At 8 p.m., Troopers took 31-year-old Rafael Otero Osorio of Providence into custody.
Otero Osorio, residing at 40 Shiloh Street, faces charges for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and conspiracy.
The arrest followed an investigation led by Trooper Jamieson, culminating in the Providence Police Department transferring custody to the State Police.
Otero Osorio was held at the Providence Police Station, awaiting arraignment on charges from both the Providence Police and State Police.
Hours later, at 12:40 a.m., another arrest ensued when Troopers apprehended 45-year-old Kristin Giorgio of Warwick after a motor vehicle collision in the Town of Lincoln.
Giorgio, from 8 Jackson Street, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs—first offense, with blood alcohol content results pending.
Following the incident, Giorgio was taken to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and held overnight, also pending morning arraignment.
The string of arrests continued at 3:45 a.m. when Troopers stopped Roxanna Camacho, age 42, of 60 Joseph Street, Providence.
Camacho was arrested on multiple bench warrants, including shoplifting, failure to appear for a pretrial conference on the charge of driving with a suspended license, and failure to appear for arraignment on the charge of driving with an expired license.
The latter charges originated from the State Police Scituate Barracks, Lincoln Woods Barracks, and the East Providence Police Department.
The arrest, which took place on Slater Street in Pawtucket, led to Camacho being processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake to await arraignment.
