EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton police issued numerous traffic citations and made one arrest between June 25 and July 2, according to a department press release.
On July 2, Douglas Lacombe, 29, of East Hampton was arrested for unlawful restraint in the second degree and disorderly conduct.
Lacombe was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court at 9 a.m. on July 3.
Police issued tickets for various traffic violations, including:
– Traveling too fast for conditions
– Operating an unregistered motor vehicle
– Traveling unreasonably fast
– Failure to obey a stop sign
– Speeding
Between July 1 and July 7, officers responded to 16 medical calls, 3 motor vehicle accidents, and 12 alarms.
They also conducted 47 traffic stops during this period.
The department noted that an arrest or infraction does not indicate a conviction, and all individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
