MANCHESTER — A 71-year-old man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident last week, and authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver of the vehicle involved, Manchester Police reported Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on July 3 at the intersection of Central St and Union St. Officers who arrived on the scene found the elderly victim lying on the pavement with a severe head injury.

He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
