ADDISON — A two-vehicle collision occurred on VT Route 22A at the intersection with VT Route 17 West on July 7, at about 1:13 p.m., resulting in moderate injuries for one driver.

Vermont State Troopers were dispatched to the scene where they found a 2011 Ford Edge, driven by Sarah Toscano, 42, of Hinesburg, had entered VT Route 22A from VT Route 17 East after stopping at the sign.

At the same time, a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta, operated by Kyle Dow, 26, from Vermont, was traveling south on VT Route 22A with the right of way.

The front end of Toscano’s vehicle collided with the front driver side of Dow’s vehicle within the intersection, causing both vehicles to come to an uncontrolled rest.

Toscano, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered suspected moderate injuries and was transported to UVM Medical Center.

Dow, also restrained by a seatbelt, along with his passenger, incurred minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.

The Addison Fire Department and Middlebury Regional EMS assisted the Troopers at the scene.

The Ford Edge sustained moderate damage to its front end, while the Volkswagen Jetta had rear-end damage.

The road conditions were dry and the weather clear at the time of the crash.
