Wallingford man arrested for aggravated domestic assault

CLARENDON — A Wallingford man was arrested early Tuesday morning after Vermont State Police responded to a report of domestic violence on Creek Road.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks arrived at the scene around 2:07 a.m. and identified the suspect as 39-year-old Matthew Pratt.

The investigation found that Pratt had physically assaulted another member of his household.

Pratt was taken into custody and processed at the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks.

Following a court order, he was held without bail at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.

Pratt is scheduled to appear before the Rutland Superior Criminal Court on July 8 at 12:30 p.m. to face charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault.
