AUGUSTA — Police are actively searching for 40-year-old Justin M. Larrabee after a domestic assault incident on July 5, where he reportedly displayed a firearm and made threats against his parents at their residence at 480 Riverside Drive.

The Augusta Police Department, assisted by Maine State Police, responded to the call at approximately 1 p.m. Larrabee fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Although his vehicle has been located, Larrabee remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.

The public is advised not to approach or attempt to detain him but to call the police immediately if he is spotted.

While no threats have been made to others, officials urge the community to remain vigilant.

The previously issued shelter-in-place order has been lifted, and Riverside Drive is now open.

However, the situation is still considered active, and law enforcement continues to follow up on all leads provided by the public.

Anyone with information regarding Larrabee’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Augusta Police Department at 207-626-2370, ext. 0.

Further updates will be provided as they become available.
