Halifax man charged with gross negligent operation after striking pedestrian with truck

HALIFAX — Vermont State Police reported that an individual was hit by a pickup truck near 887 Green River Rd on July 6.

At approximately 12:01 a.m., authorities were alerted to the incident in the Town of Halifax.

Upon investigation, officers determined that Corey Hale, 31, of Halifax, had struck a pedestrian with the mirror of his vehicle while trying to locate them.

Hale has been cited for gross negligent operation.

He is expected to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on July 8 at 12:30 p.m.
