BOSTON — Boston police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured Friday afternoon in the city’s Mattapan neighborhood.
At about 12:23 p.m., officers assigned to District B-3 responded to reports of a person shot at the intersection of Gladeside Avenue and Donwood Terrace.
Upon arrival, they discovered two victims with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
Both individuals were swiftly transported to local hospitals.
One victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the male victim’s injuries were life-threatening.
The male victim was later pronounced dead.
The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting.
Detectives are urging anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
