Ford Focus driver damages school playground in Weare

WEARE — Police are seeking the driver of a Ford Focus who performed “donuts” in the playground area of Center Woods Elementary School, causing damage to the surface.

The incident occurred at midnight on Wednesday, June 28, according to a statement from Weare Police Department Cpl. Muise.

Authorities say the driver was accompanied by a passenger who filmed the act while hanging out of the vehicle’s window.

The car became stuck on a curb, requiring assistance to free it.

Police report observing the shirtless driver expressing frustration while waiting for help to arrive.

Officials are asking the responsible party to contact the Weare Police Department.

The department did not specify potential charges but described the driving as “reckless.”

School staff discovered the damage, which includes black tire marks across the children’s play area.
