BRISTOL — Police officers patrolling the area of Riverside Avenue near Blakeslee Street spotted a stolen black Jeep Grand Cherokee being operated recklessly on Tuesday, leading to a pursuit and the eventual arrest of a juvenile male.

The Bristol Police Department reported that the vehicle was seen driving on sidewalks and through construction zones, endangering the lives of city residents.

Officers deployed stop sticks, a device used to deflate tires, which are equipped in each cruiser to safely halt the vehicle.

The Jeep came to a stop shortly after the deployment of the stop sticks.

The juvenile was taken into custody without further incident.

The identity of the juvenile has not been released due to their age.

Charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Bristol Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
