Woman arrested on domestic assault charges in Rutland

RUTLAND TOWN — In a domestic disturbance call that led to an arrest, Vermont State Police responded to a family fight in Rutland Town on July 1 at approximately 8:47 p.m.

Colleen Keefe, 51, of Rutland Town, was taken into custody after troopers investigated the incident.

The investigation found that Keefe had willfully and recklessly caused pain or injury to a family member.

Following her arrest, Keefe was processed at the State Police Rutland Barracks.

She was issued court-ordered conditions of release and received a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court to face charges of domestic assault.

In accordance with their policy, the Vermont State Police did not release the name of the victim in the domestic violence incident.

Further details regarding the incident were not immediately available.

The case remains under investigation by the authorities.
