MERRIMACK — A Manchester man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing over $2,500 from a parked vehicle in March, Merrimack police said.

Branden Decesare, 33, faces a Class A felony charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

On March 13, police received a report that someone had stolen cash and credit cards from a vehicle.

The investigation revealed that Decesare, a former employee of the victim who had recently been terminated, allegedly took $2,500 in cash and a wallet containing credit cards from the parked vehicle.

Police said Decesare later attempted to use the stolen credit cards by making online and digital transactions from accounts belonging to his family members and friends.

Decesare was arrested by Manchester police on June 26 and transported to Merrimack Police Department for processing.

He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Merrimack 9th Circuit Court on Aug. 15.
