Minor collision in Poultney parking lot leads to DUI citation

POULTNEY — A minor collision in a parking lot led to a driving under the influence citation for a local woman on Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 4:12 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a report of a crash in a Poultney parking lot.

Upon investigation, troopers determined that Darcy Sheehe, 55, of Poultney, was operating a 2006 Mercedes-Benz 350 when she struck a stationary 2014 Chevrolet Cruise driven by Crystal Rockwell, 55, also of Poultney.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the incident.

No injuries were reported by either party.

Troopers observed signs of impairment in Sheehe at the scene.

She was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing and subsequently released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division, at a later date.

The crash occurred on a clear day with dry road conditions.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident.
