GLOVER — A Barton man was arrested and charged with his second DUI after leading police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 91 on June 28.

Vermont State Police said that around 3:30 p.m., while monitoring traffic from a stationary U-turn, they heard a motorcycle accelerating and observed it speeding in the passing lane.

Using LIDAR technology, they recorded the motorcycle traveling at 99 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The operator of the motorcycle was identified as 51-year-old Robert Brosseau of Barton.

During the stop, authorities discovered that Brosseau’s driving privileges had been criminally suspended in the state.

Brosseau was issued a citation to appear in Orleans Superior Court on Aug. 27, where he will face charges related to the incident.
