WAITSFIELD — The Vermont State Police arrested a man for driving under the influence after he crashed his car on Main Street near Old County Road on June 29.
Mark Smith, 64, of Fayston, was driving a 2003 Subaru Legacy when he veered off the road into a field around 4:44 p.m. amid rainy weather and wet road conditions.
Police reported no injuries or damage to the vehicle.
An investigation determined Smith was intoxicated while operating the vehicle.
He was apprehended and processed at the Berlin Barracks.
Smith has been released with a citation to appear in Washington Superior Court, Criminal Division, on July 18 at 8:30 a.m.
