NORTH ADAMS — In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, North Adams Police, alongside the Berkshire County Drug Task Force and the Berkshire County Special Response Team, have conducted two major raids over the past two weeks, resulting in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of substantial quantities of drugs and a stolen firearm.
The first raid led to the arrest of one male from whom authorities confiscated approximately 26.3 grams of cocaine/crack cocaine, $2,563 in cash, a stolen Ruger Mark .22 handgun from New York, .22 caliber ammunition, and drug packaging materials, including a digital scale.
The arrested male faces multiple charges, including cocaine trafficking, firearm possession without a license, possession of ammunition without a FID, and receiving stolen property.
In a separate but concurrent investigation, the second search warrant resulted in the arrest of two males.
Authorities seized approximately 214.2 grams of cocaine/crack cocaine, about 200 bags of suspected heroin, $875 in cash, and materials used for drug manufacturing.
The charges for the two men arrested in the second raid include trafficking in cocaine (200 grams or more), possession with intent to distribute heroin, and conspiracy.
The North Adams Police Department’s efforts reflect an ongoing commitment to combating the distribution of narcotics in the community.
The suspects are currently being processed, and further details will be disclosed as the investigations continue.
