SEABROOK — A collision between a vehicle and a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) in Seabook left one person with serious injuries, officials said.
The incident occurred at 4:28 p.m. on June 28 when Seabrook police and fire departments were called to the scene on Ocean Boulevard (Route 1A).
State Troopers from Troop A barracks arrived shortly after, taking the lead in the investigation.
According to the initial findings, Georgia P.
Gynan, 33, of Hampton, was driving a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle southbound on Ocean Boulevard.
She reportedly ran a red light at the intersection with Hooksett Street, where her vehicle struck a 2013 Kawasaki UTV operated by a Seabrook town parking enforcement employee.
The UTV, which belonged to the Town of Seabrook, was hit as it crossed the intersection, causing it to overturn and ejecting the operator.
The UTV driver was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Gynan and her passenger were unharmed in the crash.
Traffic on Ocean Boulevard was halted for over three hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage and conduct an on-site investigation.
The State Police Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Unit, along with the Seabrook and Hampton Police Departments, Seabrook Fire Department, New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and New England Truck Center, provided assistance.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and authorities are seeking information from the public.
