WATERFORD — A two-vehicle crash on VT Route 18 near Mad Brook Road resulted in both cars being totaled, and one driver transported to the hospital with suspected minor injuries on June 28.

According to the Vermont State Police, the accident occurred around 11:47 a.m. when Ronald Gray, 68, of Waterford, attempted to turn his 2017 Toyota Tacoma onto Mad Brook Road and collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by Christina Hall, 37, of Danville, who was heading north.

Gray, who was wearing his seat belt at the time of the incident, was taken to Littleton Regional Hospital.

Hall, also belted, did not sustain injuries.

The weather was clear, and road conditions were dry at the time of the collision.

Initial investigations suggest that driver inattention may have been a contributing factor to the crash.

The Vermont State Police were supported at the scene by the Waterford Fire Department, CALEX, and B&B Towing.

The incident remains under review.
