WOODFORD — On June 25, at approximately 1:49 p.m., Vermont State Police were called to Notch Rd to address a motor vehicle complaint.
A concerned citizen had reported a vehicle parked in a pull-off area for more than two weeks.
Upon arrival, troopers discovered a deceased individual inside the vehicle.
Detectives from the Vermont State Police were dispatched to the scene to conduct an investigation.
The body was subsequently transferred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington for an autopsy to ascertain the cause and manner of death.
Authorities have stated that the death does not appear to be suspicious and there is no immediate threat to public safety.
The identity of the deceased is currently withheld as officials are in the process of notifying the next of kin.
At present, no additional details have been released regarding the incident.
