BROOKFIELD — A Bridgeport man was arrested Saturday in connection with a fatal drug overdose that occurred in Brookfield last year, police said.
Michel Hernandez, 25, faces charges of criminally negligent homicide, sale of a narcotic substance, and possession with intent to sell a narcotic substance, according to the Brookfield Police Department.
The arrest comes after a nine-month investigation into an overdose death reported on Aug. 25.
Detectives processed the scene and conducted a comprehensive investigation, which led to the identification of Hernandez as the alleged supplier of the lethal narcotics.
Hernandez was taken into custody on May 22 after police secured an arrest warrant.
He is being held on a $50,000 court-set bond and is scheduled for arraignment at Danbury Superior Court.
