Driver crashes into building, flees scene in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — A 30-year-old Enosburg man faces charges after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a building and fleeing the scene early Saturday morning.

Vermont State Police responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 36 in Fairfield at approximately 3:12 a.m. on June 22.

When troopers arrived, they found significant damage to both the vehicle and the building, but the driver had left on foot.

Authorities later identified the driver as Brandon Myott.

Investigation revealed Myott had been operating the vehicle with a criminally suspended license.

Troopers located Myott and issued him a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court – Criminal Division at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 6.

He faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a criminally suspended license.
