POWNAL — A Bennington man faces charges of domestic assault and driving under the influence following an incident in Pownal on Saturday.
Vermont State Police responded to a report of an active fight between family members at a residence on South Stream Road at 6:28 p.m. on June 22, 2024.
Upon investigation, troopers determined that Bradley M. Roy, 37, of Bennington, had assaulted a family member.
Police also observed signs of impairment and concluded Roy had consumed alcohol before driving to the scene.
Roy was arrested and taken to the Shaftsbury State Police Barracks for processing.
He was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on June 24, 2024, at 12:30 p.m.
The Vermont State Police do not release the names of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.
