Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle in Norwalk

NORWALK — A tragic motor vehicle accident claimed the life of a pedestrian at Riverside Cemetery on Friday morning, police reported.

At 9:20 a.m. on June 21, the Norwalk Combined dispatch was alerted to an incident at 81 Riverside Avenue involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The Norwalk Police Department, alongside the Fire Department and Hospital Emergency Medical Service, responded swiftly to the call.

Upon arrival, first responders found 59-year-old Kathleen Quigley-Cutting injured at the scene.

Despite immediate medical attention, Quigley-Cutting’s injuries were severe, and she was quickly transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

She later succumbed to her injuries.

The Norwalk Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit and Crash Reconstruction Investigators are handling the ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

Authorities are calling for witnesses or anyone with information to step forward.
