NEW LONDON — On Friday, at about 10:47 p.m., New London Police and Fire Department personnel responded to a call regarding an injured female in a parking lot at 48 Ocean Ave.
The woman, discovered bleeding and unresponsive, received immediate medical attention at the scene.
She was transported to L+M Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later moved to Yale New Haven Hospital for further care.
Authorities have listed her condition as critical.
An active investigation is underway to determine the cause of the victim’s injuries.
