WATERBORO — A single-vehicle accident early this morning has left a local man injured and caused a temporary road closure for utility repairs.

Tyler Rancourt, 21, was driving his 2008 Scion southwest on Townhouse Road when the vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a utility pole at around 12:05 a.m. The York County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the scene near 227 Townhouse Road shortly after the incident.
